That's what we call the trad au pair experience - and we still think there's something pretty special about it.
The Kokun Community is a free, private and moderated community for au pairs across Australia to connect, ask questions, share experiences, make friends and get more from their time here.
Many au pair communities are only available to au pairs placed through a particular agency. We believe every au pair deserves access to community, support and reliable information, regardless of how they found their host family.
Think of it as your mum-away-from-mum, plus a group of people navigating the same adventure alongside you.
Not quite what you had in mind? Au pairing doesn’t have to mean moving countries or cultural exchange.
