Help us build the next generation of au pairing
Join the Kokun Recruitment Partner Network.
Kokun is rethinking how au pairing works in Australia.
We treat au pairing as genuine employment. That means finding the right person matters, but recruitment is only one part of the relationship.
Kokun provides the HR infrastructure around it: employment setup, contracts, payroll, compliance, clear expectations and ongoing support for families and au pairs.
And we don't believe we need to recruit every au pair ourselves.
We're building a panel of trusted recruitment partners who can help us connect great people with families looking for reliable, live-in childcare.
Who we’re looking for
We're interested in hearing from established au pair and nanny agencies, recruiters, student and graduate networks, relocation providers and other organisations with access to people who could thrive in an au pair role.
That might include traditional international au pairs.
But we're also interested in reaching a much broader group: Australians moving interstate, university students, gap-year candidates, people relocating for work and others for whom flexible employment combined with accommodation could make sense.
How the model works
Our recruitment partners focus on what they do best: finding great people.
Kokun takes care of the employment infrastructure and ongoing HR support around the arrangement.
Au pairs also become part of the Kokun Community - giving them a network beyond the family they live with. The community includes opportunities to connect with other au pairs, practical information and support, with networking and social events coming soon.
We're also building a network of relevant providers so we can connect the Kokun Community with carefully selected offers and services that genuinely make their lives easier.
For recruitment partners, that means your candidates aren't simply placed and left to navigate the experience alone. They have access to ongoing employment support, community and a growing network around them throughout their au pair experience.
Depending on the partnership, you might refer candidates into the Kokun network, source for specific family roles or provide recruitment services directly to Kokun families.
The aim is simple: build a broader, better-quality pool of potential au pairs while giving families and candidates the structure and support they need once a match is made.
